involved Indigenous/community and CSO delegations from the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Colombian Amazon
My project coordination work sits at the intersection of people, process and purpose.
I support initiatives from concept development and budgeting through participant coordination, logistics, stakeholder engagement, documentation and follow-through, with particular experience working alongside Indigenous youth, women’s networks, government partners and environmental organizations. These projects have taught me that coordination is operational, and more importantly, relational. Creating enough structure for people to participate meaningfully is paramount in execution, while remaining responsive to culture, access, safety and changing realities.
PROJECT 1: I-YES Camp 2026
National Indigenous Youth Coordination
(NTFP-EP Philippines × UGNAYIN PH | May 18–22, 2026)
Co-coordinated a five-day national Indigenous youth leadership and advocacy gathering
involving 17 youth representatives from 11 organizations across five Philippine landscapes
The activity brought together network governance, advocacy preparation, cultural exchange and direct policy engagement.
My coordination work included:

Why it matters:
The gathering included engagement with the House of Representatives and National Youth Commission, refinement of the Diliman Declaration as an Indigenous youth advocacy agenda, network governance decisions and follow-up pathways for government partnership.

PROJECT 2: National Women’s Assembly 2025
From Community Dialogue to Policy Follow-Through
(NTFP-EP Philippines | September 4–6, 2025)
Co-coordinated a three-day national gathering of 20 Indigenous and rural women leaders
representing 17 organizations across five Philippine landscapes
The assembly combined community situation analysis, women’s leadership, local-governance learning, DILG engagement, peer sharing, planning and collective visioning.

Why it matters:
Following the gathering, participants’ concerns and recommendations regarding Indigenous and rural women’s participation in Local Special Bodies were consolidated and transmitted to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). DILG Central Office subsequently issued a memorandum to its Regional Offices concerning the recommendations.

PROJECT 3: South–South Learning Exchange —
From the Amazon to Asia
(NTFP-EP × Gaia Amazonas | Palawan, Philippines | May 2025)
Supported audiovisual documentation, communications and learning outputs for
“Bridging Voices from the Forest: From the Amazon to Asia — Indigenous Economies, Governance, and Autonomy,”
a multi-country South–South learning exchange under the Green Livelihoods Alliance
The exchange brought together Indigenous Peoples, local communities and civil-society partners from the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam and the Colombian Amazon to exchange approaches to Indigenous governance, self-defined economies, women’s leadership, NTFP-based livelihoods and territorial stewardship
My work included:
Photo and video documentation and communications support during the Palawan exchange, contributing to articles, audiovisual outputs and learning materials later shared through the Green Livelihoods Alliance’s international Exchange and Learning Space
