Partnerships and Operations
I led partnerships and fundraising operations inside a lean team—growing income through corporate + membership + digital-driven fundraising, while building the backend systems that made donor work consistent, ethical, and repeatable.

Results

  • +168.2% increase in cash-based funds raised (2021 → Jan–Nov 2022).

  • Pipeline-building strength: ~83.5% of tracked opportunity value in 2021 sat in the pipeline—requiring disciplined follow-through, screening, and conversion.

  • 2022 mix snapshot (Jan–Nov): program-led giving formed the core (~80.4%), supported by general donations (~4.5%), events (~2.0%), and memberships (~1.6%).

What I owned (team of 3; I led/managed the function)

  • Corporate fundraising + partnerships: prospecting, pitching, account management, and coordination of agreements.

  • Digital-forward fundraising: membership fundraising, online engagement activities, and partnership-driven campaigns.

  • Managed and mentored a lean partnerships/fundraising team; ran weekly check-ins, capacity support, and year-end reflections for a two-person team.

  • Strengthened fundraising operations + reporting: pipeline tracking, reporting habits, and documentation systems, and cross-team coordination

Brand & pitch materials (partner-facing)

Developed partnership messaging and donor-facing collateral (media kit / offering deck), aligning conservation programs with clear partnership pathways and benefits.​​

Ethical screening + reputation risk management

  • Built and institutionalized a donor screening workflow: due diligence, ethical categorization, and decision-making steps—protecting organizational credibility and mission alignment. 

  • Implemented partnership response-time and follow-up cadence so leads didn’t “die in the inbox” (same-day response expectations, 5-day turnaround norms, and structured follow-ups).
